Of all the Broadway conspiracy theories, my favorite one has got to be the idea that Beanie Feldstein was used and deliberately miscast so that the casting of Lea Michele would be more acceptable to the public. Like at that point, even if it isn't true, is so plausible anyway

@_Aviaq I absolutely understand the pressure to deliver global quality when they're working in an industry with budgets that are a fraction of what other artists have. I get it. They're skimping on the small things to conserve budget for their other pursuits, fine. But it's still sad.

I find it slightly funny that people were saying Bernie Sanders was too old when he ran for the presidency, but these days, his impromptu speaking is more lucid than the literal incumbent president and both sides of the aisle value his opinion.

@tanginaco I agree with you. Had this been a standard love song, it's okay to switch the gender of who you're addressing. But it isn't. It's a song about a person who has to pretend to be straight. The song, when sung as a straight relationship, is just a song about homewrecking a marriage.
