This Ronaldo situation has been handled terribly.

He’s got one of the biggest egos in sport, and after the career he’s had, why wouldn’t he?

If Portugal no longer wanted him involved, then sit him down and tell him to his face. Don’t keep him around when his name, image and commercial pull still benefit you, then suddenly make him look like the problem.

If he feels used, I completely understand why he’d be furious.

After everything he’s given that country, he deserved honesty at the very least.
