The picture is of the area showing the approximate location of all the trees. We really hope this is a fantastic space for the community to enjoy for many years to come, where you will be welcome to head down and pick your own fruit.
Last week, planting of the community orchard began, located on the green space on Huntingdon Road. 🌳
The Council were keen to restore the area for the community to enjoy and there will be 10 local and rare varieties of fruit tree planted.
After consultations with experts in the field, the Facilities team have sourced suitable trees from The Heritage Fruit Tree Company.
These include seven apple trees, one pear tree, one green gage tree and one damson tree.

We need your help 🫵
Thrapston Town Council are in the process of applying for funding to replace the roof on the Plaza Community Centre and we need your support.
We need to know from residents why the Plaza is such a great facility in the town and an asset that a new roof will help to protect for generations to come. The building has recently undergone a renovation, and the new roof is the final stage of the upgrade.
