The fact that the programmers clearly put so much time into getting the open world and physics aspects of Zelda so complete, yet we STILL can’t pet the doggos, feels to me like an intentionally aggressive act on their part.
@cwhowell123 Also (obviously) I want to respect your student's privacy but if she *does* share this opinion herself online anywhere please post that! I would love to credit her directly when I'm telling people about this.
Please don’t feel obligated to reply, and I’ll keep googling for answers, but you and @QuinceMountain have become my trusted sources for How To Do A Winter and I’d be thankful for any advice you have!!
@BlairBraverman This year my partner and I moved from Texas to the Northwoods of Wisconsin and your “how to dress for cold” advice has literally saved my sanity. Have you ever written something similar for pets?
I think one of the weirdest things about moving to the Midwest is suddenly recognizing the names of all of the towns in A League of Their Own. Turns out, they’re all real places! Who knew?!
@RachelTheC I’m convinced that 50% of why I agreed to move to Wisconsin was to be able to justify buying an entire dovetail wardrobe. As if swinging an axe to chop wood wouldn’t just immediately murder me.
@QuinceMountain@danada0109@nytimes As a recent arrivee in rural Wisconsin I think the only thing I can confidently say is that by next election, I’m pretty sure our library/community center WILL offer axe throwing as an amenity.
Election night makes me think back to the last time I watched O’Rourke lose a statewide seat - a good group of friends let me get increasingly despondent (and drunk) as results rolled in, and I miss you all a ton tonight.
