It has just been discovered that more than 200,000 social media accounts were calibrated to influence American opinion against data center build-outs on social media. This bot farm was being run, according to government security researchers at the social media platform X, by people linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

This shouldn't surprise anybody. America is an open society, which is awesome, but that means our society is subject to influence operations, many of which do not have our best interests in mind but are designed to achieve aims for other powers.

I did some research on this, and there are dozens of examples, some of the biggest being the Nazis in the 1930s, who created an underground network of influencers and media personalities; to Koreagate in the '70s; to the Kuwaitis; to Mexico; to Russia; to Sri Lanka; and more.

The answer is not to stop being an open society, but to fight artificial speech with authentic American speech. In that spirit, it's important that we recognize that our adversaries are interested in making us weaker. Who really pays for the victimhood ecosystem that has taken root across so many Western institutions?

The answer is: everybody.

It’s the person on the other end of discrimination—the qualified applicant who wonders whether achievement mattered less than having the preferred immutable characteristics.

But I think there’s another potential victim we talk about far less: the person the system claims it is helping.

Because the moment an institution begins treating somebody primarily as a representative of their race, sex, disability, or background, that person stops being simply an individual with their own gifts, ideas, flaws, ambitions, and accomplishments.

They become a symbol.

And suddenly part of their success belongs, at least implicitly, to the more powerful institution that selected them and proudly displayed what they represented.

The extraordinary and tragic Jason Arday controversy at Cambridge puts that question into sharp focus. Cambridge publicly celebrated Arday not only as a scholar but as its youngest Black professor and as someone who would further its efforts to improve representation. Years later, his academic record and appointment came under intense scrutiny, allegations he disputed, and Cambridge ultimately launched an independent investigation into how he had been appointed.

So whom did turning him into a symbol actually serve?

In this video, we’re exploring the real cost of institutionalized victimhood—from elite universities and their presidents to American K–12 schools, where some districts are changing grading practices at the same moment national reading and math performance remain deeply troubling.

Because maybe compassion isn’t lowering expectations.

In my estimation, the Fifth Circuit Court's decision to take up this case en banc, which means that they're basically planning to overturn their previous ruling, is a signal that they believe that based on the Supreme Court's recent ruling, that their earlier decision is no longer consistent with Supreme Court precedent, and basically that the ruling at the Supreme Court level has implications for the statutory interpretation of the Commerce Clause. This is a really big deal, big enough to warrant a longer-form video on the topic. So in this video, we're going to get into what exactly is going on here legally, why the Commerce Clause came to be what it is today, and what would change about the American system of government if, as I suspect, the Fifth Circuit Court changes their earlier ruling in this case and trims down the understanding of the Commerce Clause. #constitutionallaw #scotus #law #usa

Imagine if your home insurance paid for a new garden hose. You would call a contractor, file a claim, and a twenty dollar hose would suddenly cost two hundred dollars. That is exactly what we have done to American medicine. We do not have a true healthcare system; we have a symptom management industry that treats every single problem like a nail waiting for a pharmaceutical hammer.
Take my five year old daughter. Recently, she developed minor allergies. The pediatrician did not ask about her diet. He never suggested her immune system needed protein. He simply handed us a prescription for a daily allergy pill. A five year old on a daily pill. That is how the doom cycle starts. Today, adverse drug events fueled by polypharmacy, or patients taking multiple medications, are a leading cause of death in America. Medicine begets more medicine.
Now, politicians want to expand this broken model with Medicare for All. But government run medicine is not a panacea. Look at the federal numbers: Medicare literally bakes in an improper payment rate of over seven percent. That is tens of billions of your tax dollars lost to fraud every year.
Furthermore, look at countries with fully socialized medicine. People wait months for basic specialist referrals. But do you know what they do not have to wait for? Euthanasia. In Canada, it has become so tragically routine that a doctor recently approved a patient for medically assisted suicide right outside a Tim Hortons.
We must fundamentally separate healthcare delivery from public health. The government job is not to act as a utopian provider. It should not be funding a system spending a quarter of Medicare outlays on the last year of life, often on treatments that merely prolong suffering. The government should act strictly as an independent arbiter focused on broader statistical population metrics and overall resource allocation, leaving personal healthcare decisions to the free market and to families.
It is time to completely reimagine the insurance racket. We need to open up the market, break the massive administrative bloat, and take back our personal choices. True health does not come from a massive government bureaucracy, and it certainly does not come from a prescription pad. #news #politics #health #medicine
