Incredibly excited for this interview with @cheddar and @thredxyz. Discovery is one of the biggest issues for new entrants into the space, and combining the best of machine learning + user-generated content is a recipe that has provably worked.

We have a lot more that we intend to build - far beyond just searching, tagging, and reviews. We want Thred to become the de-facto location for anyone entering into NFTs. We also plan to use our vast array of data to drastically improve the signal in this space.
I'm excited to announce the launch of Thred - a search and discovery platform for NFTs that has been in the works for nearly a year:

π£ Today's the day - https://t.co/g2w6G5nkJs is live! Thanks to @TechCrunch's @jacqmelinek for covering our journey to bring trustworthy, authentic NFTs to the masses.

I especially want to thank some of the individuals in NFT communities that volunteered to help alpha test (back when things barely worked), so thanks to individuals from @Metaverse_HQ and the Permies from @blockworks
@tropoFarmer I'm slightly paranoid of automatically refreshing ordinal explorers right now, since there's a chance of remotely-executed javascript being inscribed
@KBVRSE Most people confuse community with an engaged audience.
A community is centered around a purpose - and its members are connected with each other as much, if not moreso, than they are connected to the people who "run" the community.
Brands entering into Web3 currently have three opportunities to pick from - customer acq. through targeting NFT communities, engagement/loyalty through interoperable points and event-driven NFT drops, and then PR/branding through metaverse/one-time campaigns.
There are plenty of web2 business models that can, and should, be replicated in web3. Web3 doesn't automatically discount every business model that's ever existed because of tokens. If anything, tokens should be treated as the new IPO.
NFTs are like the early web for newbies - a ton of manual sleuthing to find diamonds in the rough, but just like how Google became the front door for the internet, I'm working to fix the same problem for finding the communities where you belong.
