Real life is just so dope and there’s so much cool stuff happening every day that I simply don’t have time to post lol

Let's work!
Dear artistes, you'll continue to have problems with producers as long as you keep viewing your music as "my song" instead of "our song". You are the face, that's enough leverage to build on and earn than the producer who you said "just sat", this is where contracts comes in.
If you want it to become "my song" you have to buy out the producer's "my beat" perception hence you pay for a buy out license, you can even buy out his tag, ghost production even dey gam, you can buy out his credits if he let you, all of these boils down to negotiation(contracts). No, producers ain't cheating you automatically by earning royalties, 50% of what people hear alongside your vocals is their creation, don't cheat rob them of being ok in life.
Key Glock said he picks beats that other rappers reject.
His beats have become part of his overall musical brand. This point gets missed by a lot of rappers who are looking for beats that sound like ‘hits.’ Your unique sound is part of your brand, & beat selection is a big part
Starting a music career and not wanting to pay for beats or give fair equity to your producers is like opening and grocery store and not wanting to pay for produce or insurance for your employees.
However we have normalized one and not the other. Why is that?
I haven’t been on Twitter for ages, and nothing’s changed. People are still going at each other, accusing each other of stuff. It’s all about crazies, freaks, politics, and total chaos. But the producers are still doing their thing and keeping the good vibes going🙃🙏🏼
@djpain1 I think it’s funny that said song that blows up wouldn’t even exist w/o the beat. Fuck it let em rap to a metronome. Can you get royalties from that? Good question huh 😂
If I send beats to 100 unsigned artists, I’ll get 10-25 replies.
If I send beats to 1000 labels, managers, a&rs… I’ll get 3 replies if I’m lucky. 😂
