@MrDrew2024@JoseSanche89405 What do you think Oppenheimer, which is a biopic, is? You think Oppenheimer is fictional? Just google it and do some research you’ll see it’s nonfiction. I didn’t even bring up documentaries which are 100% nonfiction movies (without those dramatize dialogues)
@MrDrew2024@JoseSanche89405 Why should I continue this convo when you’re so wrong saying “all movies are fictional”. Some movies are based on real events/people aka “nonfiction”. If you need realism in every movie you see then I feel you lack imagination. They clearly did it with Superman 2025 with no issue
@MrDrew2024@JoseSanche89405 They’re still fictional movies about guys in tights and capes. I go to the movies for the escapism, if I want REALism, I go outside in the REAL world. Also comics are the source material, the movies should reflect the comics and not be ashamed of them.
@kidomaki_real@177A_BleeckerSt Supergirl isn’t Gunn’s movie, and Snyder didn’t even have the trunks (to be made fun of or not), nor did it have Krypto or Supergirl. Was there actually even a real fortress in the Snyder movies?
@FlinchLick49725@Eljhonny452 The original comic book vocab was more than just reference material; it’s the inspiration for the phonological system of Suh Ankripton. Examples from the source material include:
VAL-LOR: Breaking down to “val” (light) and “lor” (good) WOLUO: Constructed from “wolu” (hour)
@FlinchLick49725@Eljhonny452 I don’t think David J. and Jessie Peterson, aka the professional conlangers and language consultants, had anything to do with any visuals in the movie. David J. and Jessie Peterson also created the functional language for many projects.
@FlinchLick49725@Eljhonny452 “David and Jessie began work on Suh Ankripton in early 2024, scouring the comics for words and names. Then, they broke these terms into component pieces, eventually creating root words, grammar rules, and a phonetic system.”

@crackedclouds28@AxelTalksFilm@seanbegins87 Idk about that one, I’ve been a Superman fan since the early 2000s because of Smallville and I still think David is the best live-action Superman.
@gagey_boo It’s crazy when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is also better than Marvel’s Spider-Man 1 in every way (combat, traversal, map, scale) except for the story (which just felt rushed). They’ll just label it as the most mid game to ever mid.
@AequitasJournal@kr1shnaaustin Supergirl is on track for an estimated 55M-70M opening so I don’t see the “huge flop” part. How was i not relevant? This thread is about the environment and how David actually saves the lives in the environment, not just let them die. You brought up “20min evacuation” some reason
@FakeNightskin Idk I feel I’d be a little off-put to find my cousin who I’ve known as a baby just the other day, now fully grown. He may be family but she doesn’t know him, that’s a grown ass stranger to her, even though she just knew him as a baby.
@AequitasJournal@kr1shnaaustin Did you expect a whole ass hour long scene of people evacuating? Lmfao makes sense since you’re favorite Superman had such little screen time in his own sequel, you prolly want the new Superman to have less, so instead of calling it “Superman” let’s call it “Evacuation”
@AequitasJournal@kr1shnaaustin “Only they would believe a city the size of metropolis can evacuate within 10-20 mins.”
Dude calling me an idiot, yet you’re getting mad over your own imagination. Lmfao show me where it’s stated it took “10-20 mins”. Have you ever even seen a movie before?
@Borednboring55 Personally I just don’t see how that’d work, I can see it as a tv show. Comic books are too serialized. I feel if you’re adapting the first 100 issues, you’ll be making a movie with nearly 100 different villains and separate plot lines, which would be a mess.
@AequitasJournal@kr1shnaaustin Plus Corenswet’s fight didn’t even start at the rift, but with him catching a building from falling on a lady, in a car, then Ultraman and Enigneer flew into him, crashing into the stadium. David’s Superman didn’t put any one in danger during his fight scenes.
@AequitasJournal@kr1shnaaustin Cavill’s Superman left his mother behind with 2 evil Kryptonians to fly Zod through a bunch of buildings, populated with people. Batman literally comes out of retirement, killing people, because Superman and Zod’s fight killed a lot of people.
@AequitasJournal@kr1shnaaustin It’s kinda like the problem isn’t just the buildings when we’re talking about “environment”. Inside an environment contains living organisms akk the ecosystem. Buildings can be rebuilt (as shown in the post credit), but you can’t bring the dead back to life.
@n_chamika1@kr1shnaaustin Minimize what damage? A big light show? It was literally stated it wasn’t a big risk and the others could take care of it and there’s no mentions of any casualties.
