The thing is, musicians and producers but especially engineers are already using AI powered/deep learning tools. They are usually licensed, ethically trained, and integrated into DAW tools that we already use. They are not the unlicensed prompt based slop generating creativity faking stuff that grifters are trying to sell to the public.
Quit telling us we have to "adapt to AI." We already did, and we figured out the ways in which it is useful. Anyone that thinks that working musicians and engineers are luddites has never been in a recording studio in the last 45 years.
This is the same argument that was made in favor of streaming platforms in 2009. Detractors were labeled Luddites and told “just tour.”Of course we were right when we said “this is going to kill the middle class of the music industry” and we’ve since seen that come to be.
