Pioneer® Seeds canola STRIKE (Seed Technology Research In Key Environments) trial sites in the northern region (southern QLD and northern NSW) are establishing well with planting completed mid-April. There is growing interest in canola in cropping rotations in this region. Pioneer Seeds is committed to conducting canola trials so growers and consultants can better understand each hybrid's performance in local conditions. Keep an eye out for upcoming field walks through the trials in Goondiwindi and North Star.

A break between rain systems has given us the opportunity to put in a corn STRIKE trial on the Ziesemers property at Norwin QLD. The Ziesemers are valued, long term trial co-operators, with the Pioneer® research team planting corn trials on their property for more than 40 years.
TSM Andrew Dieckmann ran a corn & forage workshop for the Monto Growers Group at Monto QLD. 20 growers attended, where they discussed the principles of crop nutrition, row spacing and plant populations for grain sorghum, corn & summer forage crops along with FAW management.
