Incredible new paper by Stanford AI researchers.
They gave 25 AI agents with memory, reflection, and planning capabilities & placed them in a simulated town.
Agents exhibited remarkable behavior and were rated more human-like than the humans participating in the role-playing.
Human relationships will be a big one. When @OpenAI chatGPT can be your perfect friend for conversation and @midjourney_ai can produce a perfect avatar for you, would you come back to humans?
Would you trust social media and dating apps?
Humans trust algorithms more than fellow humans.
Google Maps over asking someone for directions.
Spotify over asking for music recommendations.
Google over asking a friend for answers.
Eventually artificial intelligence over humans too.
