What does it really take to connect Africa?
It takes more than aircraft in the sky. It takes the infrastructure, technology, finance and payment systems that make movement — and participation — possible.
As African aviation demand continues to grow, the opportunity is clear: connectivity must evolve beyond movement to create greater access to opportunity.
That is why the conversation at AeroWest Summit 2026 matters.
We are pleased to have Olayemi Precilia Ogun, Head, Business Development – Consumer Business and Team Director, Key Account Merchants – Transport Vertical at OPay, sharing her perspective on building a more connected and inclusive Africa.
From aviation and tourism to finance, technology and policy, AeroWest brings the ecosystem together to shape what comes next.
Join us in Lagos, 2–4 September 2026, for the conversations that can move Africa forward.
Because when we connect Africa, we expand what is possible.

Some of the world's most extraordinary destinations aren't defined by a lack of beauty—they're defined by a lack of connectivity.
Across West and Central Africa, breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultures, and untapped tourism opportunities are waiting to be discovered. But unlocking their full potential requires more than promotion. It requires stronger air connectivity, strategic investment, and regional collaboration.
When aviation grows, tourism follows.
When tourism thrives, economies grow, businesses expand, and communities benefit.
That's why the future of aviation and tourism must be built together.
Join the leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers shaping that future at AeroWest Summit 2026.

Who owns your payment data, and where should it be stored?
The Central Bank of Nigeria has directed banks, fintechs, and payment service providers to store all payment transaction data generated in Nigeria on servers located within the country, effective January 1, 2027.
The move is part of Nigeria's push for data sovereignty—keeping sensitive financial data under Nigerian laws and within Nigerian borders to strengthen security and regulatory oversight.
But it also raises important questions.
Is Nigeria's digital infrastructure ready for this transition? Do we have enough world-class data centres? And what will it mean for banks, fintechs, and consumers?
The countdown to 2027 has begun, and the months ahead will shape the future of Nigeria's digital economy.
Follow Africa Tech Radio for more conversations on technology, innovation, and Africa's digital future.
When people, businesses and ideas move freely, trade expands, tourism flourishes, investment grows, and opportunities multiply.
At AeroWest, we're committed to advancing the conversations that will shape the future of aviation and tourism across the region.
60 days to go.
The conversations shaping the future of aviation and tourism in West & Central Africa begin at AeroWest Summit 2026, happening 2–3 September 2026.
