Who knows if this #Browns year is salvageable....but...we have probably 3 more years of elite level Nick Chubb, Watson coming back, a true #1 in Cooper, a blooming #2 in DPJ, still bangin' oline and a producing Njoku....offense is in place for a run.
Now about that defense....
Oscars 2022 takeaway:
Words are powerful and also have consequences attached to them. If you speak poorly about someone's family (especially if it relates to an uncontrollable illness), you run the risk of catching hands.
Think before you speak.
@shoestrings26 The reactions just seem off. From Will laughing initially and smirking after the slap to Chris bracing for the slap...maybe it was genuine, but it just seemed slightly rehearsed.
I guess either way it's front and center news.
@BrianAd63110405 Will was over the top....but it'll be yesterday's news at some point.
Once the public sees a new squirrel the mind will be occupied somewhere else.
@WhooptyHell440@nats_sportschat The roasting is not the show...its an awards show. I understand it does happen though. IF this wasn't staged, the joke was distasteful. Which is fine...free speech and all.
I dont buy Chris may not have known about the condition.
...I do agree that Wills actions were excessive.
@Karsten_Andrew Likely true most of the time...but we'll have to agree to disagree.
While it would take quite the barrage of words to drive me to violence, I can't in all honestly say a line dosnt exist.
@nats_sportschat Neither of them are "right" in this scenario. Chris should have a little more respect (comedian or not) and Will should have bottled up the urge to smack Chris.
Original tweet remains true though.
Words can be powerful and always have consequences.
@Karsten_Andrew Nobody said it was OK.
Go back and re-read the tweet if you have to.
Just because "comedians joke" dosnt mean they are immune to consequences.
I completely understand the urge of Will to smack the fuck out of Chris... definitely surprised he actually did.
