Coping with suicidal tendencies:
•Immediately call suicide helpline numbers.
•If your friend is exhibiting suicidal tendencies, talk to them.
•Listen to them without forming any judgments.
•Lastly, do not leave a suicidal person alone. Stay with them till help comes, etc.
Suicidal behaviour:
•Utter despair and hopelessness.
•Emotional withdrawal from family and friends.
•Increase in substance abuse.
•Finding ways of inflicting self harm.
•Bidding farewell to loved ones.
•Loss of appetite or eating excessively.
•Sleep disturbances, etc.
Suicide is clinically defined as the act of taking one’s own life. 8,00,000 people die every year by suicide. Depression is the most common cause of committing suicide. Many suicides also happen in the heat of the moment when a person is overcharged with emotions.
A mood disorder is a mental health problem that primarily affects a person’s emotional state. It is a disorder in which a person experiences long periods of extreme happiness, extreme sadness, or both.

Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It’s a feeling of fear about what’s to come. It is a part of normal life. Humans are programmed to deal with a certain amount of anxiety on a regular basis.

The National Mental Health Survey of India states that nearly 15% of adults in India require treatment for one or more mental health disorders. Even after this survey, state governments allocate less than 1% of their budget to mental health.
