Thread on the recent events about Mr. Godfrey Gao, because this is about the only thing I've been thinking about for the past 4 hours.

Public image? Already tarnished

[. @throwaway365247]

Can't believe I'm back with other wild shit that goes on in C-ent

[. @throwaway365247]

Even if DMZ situation is not entirely true, he has a lot of other explaining to do

And his studio's posts aren't proving he's clear either

[. @throwaway365247]

It already happened. You can't cover it up and pretend like it wasn't a big deal, because it was and by paying money for fake accounts to make it seem like you're the good ones, that just makes you seem even worse.

I saw some fanaccounts retell the story from that day... they're honestly so much more believable than the broadcasting station. Please, just sincerely apologize, make your statement actually make sense, and own up to your mistakes.

[. @throwaway365247]

However.

What are they even trying to argue? For shows like Chase Me, shouldn't there be a medical team following the participants at all times, outdoors? You know how dangerous it could be. Why witness this through a screen instead of with your own two eyes?

[. @throwaway365247]

Stories being spread about some crew members claiming that they rushed to the scene immediately once they saw the situation through the monitor indoors, so that's why help was delayed.

[. @throwaway365247]

@doubIebprint Sorry for any confusion--this actually happened few years back at a different event hosted by the same broadcasting station.

[. @throwaway365247]

Another fanaccount of the show's deeds.

A list of demands from netizens to the staff that has been circulating on Weibo.

[. @throwaway365247]

@pratiwitania2 Yes, pretty much, although I believe it involves more running--the tasks seem like they require somewhat less strength than Ninja Warrior, but in the end they're extremely exhausting for those who haven't specifically trained for shows like this.

[. @throwaway365247]

@dinobonoid The strange thing is... this broadcasting station also does Keep Running and even though it takes the entire day to film, they give the guests a lot more resting time there...??? It doesn't make sense why they wouldn't let the guests rest more on Chase Me.

[. @throwaway365247]

@daoyingtuzi It's insane that they're not properly watching out for these things when they literally know how dangerous it could be......

[. @throwaway365247]

@daoyingtuzi Exactly. The staff have also ignored other cases of people in dangerous situations...
