@midsummer_bloom@JanhaviNilekani@JanhaviNilekani philanthropy is an exertion and extension of power. She knows it, those who are clear-eyed observers know it.
Why am I engaging? I don't speak because I hope to change her mind or a Pseudo-Sophist such as you. But speaking up matters. Silence is not an option.
@midsummer_bloom@JanhaviNilekani Silence of @JanhaviNilekani speaks volumes. When her fortunes, influence, and access are derived/linked to the horrible policies-that NandanN claims credit for-that reshaped economic & social lives of Indians, she does not get to start with a clean slate & influence public policy
@midsummer_bloom Shifting goalposts. Keep deluding yourself that people will be fooled by such assertions. Plenty of others have pointed out the same - Aadhaar preventing dignity of pre-/post-natal experience - to @JanhaviNilekani.
What's your agenda in running interference for Dr JN?
@midsummer_bloom@JanhaviNilekani 3. Women have the fundamental right to institutional delivery even if they can't pay Rs 1,30,000. Do not ask for Aadhaar (you guessed it!).
4. Education is a fundamental right too. Children should be able to enroll in school without Aadhaar or if details do not fully match.
@midsummer_bloom@JanhaviNilekani Heck, training module topics Aastrika can awesomely deliver
1. NICU babies shouldn't be enrolled in Aadhaar by strange men not wearing masks just to access medical care.
2. Pregnant womens' faces change - do not deny them nutritious food because Aadhaar photo doesn't match.
@midsummer_bloom@Anon182696@JanhaviNilekani@ShamikaRavi Such a sweet sweet sweet testimony. The rest of us will always associate the name Nilekani with deaths and denial of rights.
