@ctusa_uno We are in the same boat. I can't even get my company to stop printing EVERYTHING. I signed an eQuote and forwarded it to purchasing....and they just printed it off. 🤷‍♂️

I am one of those people that thinks too little about their investments. My old job had a guy to help us, but my new one does not. I was overloaded with choices (remember that?) and ended up just picking some that I thought looked promising. #mavdm

I would be interested in exactly how much each company that has moved to the cloud has increased their cloud provider's carbon footprint. Moving to the cloud only means you're running on someone else's servers, so I think those numbers saved are exaggerated. #mavdm

@_Chewbaklava I think this is a great point. If you keep thinking of these as regrets or things we did wrong, it will be hard to move on in life. Instead, if you view them as learning tools like you said, we will be able to grow as people. #mavDM

My employer has almost completely replaced their IT department. Almost daily, we deal with issues stemming from inherited decisions, and due to them not being our decisions, we have nothing holding us to them. Which is a relief because they were not good decisions. #mavdm

I know I keep bringing up the stuff we're doing at work, but we've got vendors competing with the "reverse" auction escalation. They're selling us different products and are trying to make sure they come in under the other with their products. #mavdm

@Jessica19930988 What I found the most interesting was his little tidbit that his most memorable vacation, he has only recalled maybe an hour and a half of it. It is is favorite and most memorable, but he didn't even look at the pictures when reminiscing.

I think I may be more prone to searching certainty than others. There are times that I put off making decisions because I can't be 100% certain of the outcome. Looking to get into management, I need to overcome this. #mavDM

I think it is interesting to consider that when searching for products to fulfill a purpose at work...if you consider each individually, they may be sufficient. Whereas considering each against the other, you start to see big differences in feature sets. #mavDM

@CodyOrtlieb To add on to this, I don't think stereotypes necessarily have to be good or bad. I think what we do with those stereotypes is what matters. It is difficult to do, but we should reserve judgment rather than jumping to conclusions based on stereotype. #mavDM

We were heading directly into a confirmation trap with one of our vendors. We had that previous experience with a product and they led with it, making us comfortable going that way. A new vendor came in and flipped everything upside down with the product they offered. #mavDM

As I mentioned last week, we are doing a large refresh of our infrastructure. Me and my team are experiencing the Ease of Recall bias almost daily. We've used one of the products before and it has the biggest market share, but may not be the best for us. #mavDM

On top of our IT hardware refresh, we are also replacing almost all of the employees. We have VERY aggressive goals to meet this year, and I am afraid we are overestimating our abilities. I haven't worked with the new team long enough for accurate estimations. #mavDM

Me and my team are currently experiencing a large dose of the affect heuristic. We are reviewing products for a large IT refresh, and due to some support woes of a manufacturer of one of those products, they're not seen as serious contenders. #mavDM
