Good morning,
We have recently submitted our Proposal to @andyburnham and @YvetteCooperMP to introduce a national standardised approach to early signposting those bereaved to support services.
Out report includes many testimonials from health professionals on the benefit of our Good Grief Condolence and Signposting cards to support their work within the NHS.
Thankyou to our ambassador @dramirkhan and all GPs we work with for endorsing the use of our Condolence and Signposting cards as an essential part of your toolkit, supporting bereaved patients and their family.
We are asking @DHSCgovuk for funding to be reinstated for our Good Grief Condolence and Signposting cards, and that this resource is mandated within the health care sector.
We need to tackle the postcode lottery that exists in the provision and awareness around bereavement services.
Early intervention is key, and a preventative approach is needed to mitigate the escalation of grief related mental and physical issues, reduce isolation, and help bereaved familes feel supported from day one.
Consistency of care is needed, as many hundreds of thousands of bereaved individuals still do not know where to turn for Help and Hope when they need it most.

That’s it from me, I’m done (for now)! Ta Ta. I’m taking a mini summer sabbatical to focus on family, fitness, sleep & poor golf, to recharge my and my laptop’s batteries for the big autumn coming.
I’ll be off socials as much as possible. Pls be wary of and report scams with me in, as the criminals tend to ramp it up when I’m not posting.
The MSE team will still be updating the website, and providing the weekly email, so pls check them for your MoneySaving fix. See you soon. Take care. Martin
