New sire Lot 4 Estjam 39/20 coming home to Thunder Hill. Nicely structured, great conformation, positive fat, neg WEC, sound feet and loads of meat. Angus has named him ‘Fireball’. Very happy.
@TottingtonTom Yeah fair enough, at least the wheels haven’t come completely off on mine 😂. Just happy the broken fix happened at home rather than 100kms away like the first time.
This messmate gum has been down longer than we’ve owned the place, well over 10 years. Still got a lot of good fire wood in it. Definitely need a martini after this.
@AdamRandall83 Either it’s a coincidence the ute battery decided to die at the same time I left the trailer plug in or the new electrics drained the battery somehow. This maybe a point 3!!!!
Rewired the trailer today. Two things I learnt 1. My hands are too big to make a good auto electrician, 2. Electrics take much longer than previously thought, 2. I don’t have the patience for electrical work, 2. Electrical work sucks.
Cutting firewood in 35 degree heat wasn’t appealing so went fishing over at Blue Rock. One monster bass for the trip. Magnificent morning on the water.
@TottingtonTom Hope you’re well old boy. It’s been a while! Did you see the article about Beef? Apparently survived a kidnapping attempt, probably talked them into letting him go over a smoke lol.
@TottingtonTom You learn a lot by dragging a few out and shearing a few. Focus switches to bringing them down a few frames sizes very quickly, 110kg adult weight is very attractive. I’m not a fan of having to sedate or use machinery to roll them over. Ex cost and time.
@KennedyCreek1 Lol - I’m struggling to regain fitness after breaking my leg last year - old age is fighting back. I tether them like horses. So it’s not too bad till I have to flip them over. The buggers do like leaning on me 🤷🏼
After a shocking 18mths of just about everything going wrong. We’re finally back into routine. Shearing done, last of the lambs off to Sale in the next month, year planned out and being excited. Fingers crossed it continues this way 🤪.
