Abiy Ahmed's PP is likely to win its second term election since there is no significant opposition party to create a competitive landscape.
Despite the prevailing insecurity in the country, you have managed to elevate Ethiopia to new heights that it has never reached before.
This is how the "election" was conducted in Ethiopia yesterday: a single ruling-party cadre casting votes on multiple ballots.
First, voter registration cards were issued in the names of non-existent individuals, as shown in the picture. Then, ballots were collected, marked, and stuffed into the ballot box as shown on the video.
This was not an election; it was a manufactured outcome disguised as one.
Congratulations to all Arsenal fans!
After a long wait, the reward has finally come. Your patience, unwavering support, and fighting spirit through every difficult season truly deserve respect. Through the ups and downs, you stood by your club with belief and passion.
This victory is not just about winning, it is about resilience, loyalty, and never giving up.
Enjoy this moment, Gunners. You earned it⚽

#BREAKING: U.S. Lifts Ethiopia Arms Export Embargo
ETHIOPIA ― 💥 The United States has lifted the Ethiopia-specific arms export restrictions imposed under ITAR §126.1(n) in November 2021.
The previous policy, which broadly denied exports of U.S. defense articles and services to Ethiopian military, police, and security forces, has now been replaced with a case-by-case review process.
The U.S. Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) confirmed that license applications for ITAR-controlled activities involving #Ethiopia are now being individually assessed, marking a significant shift from the blanket denial policy introduced during the Tigray conflict.

News: ‘Unfounded, irresponsible’: #TPLF rejects #Ethiopia’s #Sudan collusion claims, warns of ‘dangerous escalation’
The TPLF said it “categorically reject[s] these accusations,” describing them as “unfounded, irresponsible, and indicative of a recurring pattern of deflection through disinformation.”
The response follows a recent allegation by Ethiopia’s Foreign Ministry that the TPLF was working with the government of Sudan, claims the group dismissed as inflammatory at a time when “the region demands restraint and constructive engagement.”

Fixing a man who reads books by Dostoevsky,Friedrich Nietzsche,George Orwel,Sylvia Plath,Albert Camus,Franz Kafka and Murakami is not going to be easy.
I've tried many times over the years to say that Akech is merely a pretender & tribalist. Now,I've finally seen his true nature.
FYI,the people of Akobo have lived there all their lives without SSPDF & NGOs, & their lives were peaceful until this Dinka army get into their land.
The white army and people of Akobo fell for the trap. SSPDF was withdrawn intentionally by the government and left a few soldiers behind to see if the town can get back to normal gradually. The white army instead came back and slaughtered those that were left behind to protect the civilians. And they were celebrated by the usual social media keyboard warriors who are sitting a comfortable place full of good life.
The government will not send any army to Akobo but it's going to be very tough for the people in Akobo. All NGOs including the UNMISS have all been withdrawn. There will be no food, medicine, and even supplies from traders to Akobo from near by counties and even from Gambella. For most times, NGOs have been the backbone of Akobo but now the new test and reality takes over.
The white army need to find a way to save the people of Akobo because what they are celebrated as a win is actually a suicidal attempt and it's about to turn out very ugly. It won't be for long, their own people will soon turn against them. It's now divide and rule.

Drivers in Addis Ababa queue for days for scarce petrol as Ethiopia faces a deepening fuel crisis, with the war on Iran disrupting supply chains.
Al Jazeera's @Hamza_Africa reports.
Ethiopia: music by superstar artist Tewodros Kassahun surpassed 100 million YouTube views within days, reflecting the country’s situation and shaking the regime. People were reportedly banned from listening to the music, dozens of listeners, along with the artist’s deputy manager, were detained and his studio was also reportedly raided, with equipment looted by government forces.
Elon Musk is the planet’s richest person by far, worth $839 billion as of Forbes’ annual World’s Billionaires list. He also ranks among the least philanthropic billionaires.
Sure, Musk has transferred $8.5 billion of Tesla stock to his charitable foundations (1% of his net worth)—but nearly all of it is still sitting there idle. Only an estimated $500 million, or 0.06% of Musk’s vast fortune, has ever been disbursed to those in need.
His lack of giving raises a question: What would our billionaires ranking look like if the world’s most generous people had never donated a dollar to charity? https://t.co/La3nLACMYa
Socrates once said that if we all threw our problems into one great big pile and we could see everyone else's, we'd run to take OUR problems back.
Compared to what other people are going through, or HAVE gone through, sometimes we just don't fully appreciate how fortunate we are.
I know that's certainly the case for me.
This book, The Upside of Down, is INCREDIBLE. And you definitely DO NOT want John's problems. By which I mean his horrific car crash and the years long process of recovery and overcoming.
Except maybe...
Maybe once you see the strength and resilience his challenges have given him, and the book that resulted from it, you can borrow some of to help you survive and thrive in your own life.
