Making games as a way to explore a place, understand its history, odd corners etc, creates a lot of serendipity. Starts to feel like an excavation. You become fascinated by mundane pieces of your environment. Also helps maintain a connection to reality if development hell hits.
I haven't been posting much from the new game so as not to overshare, but it's been coming along very well. If you want to support us, I post devlogs, dev interviews, music, process shots, and a lot else to the link below.
Dear patrons, our sound designer @fm_aura has compiled a digital mixtape featuring field recordings, sounds, and music from the new game, alongside tracks that serve as inspiration. You can listen via the uploaded audio or an RSS link using your preferred podcast app.
Lots of good stuff on here. fmAura did all the atmospheric sounds, effects, and some of the compositions for NORCO. Check it out if you're looking for a technical sound artist who knows their way around Unity & can use Git.
