Just re-upping this again because the Temu Trumps in the LNP insist on bringing every culture war here: the Morrison govt spent $20.8bn on consultants in its final year - the equivalent of 54,000 FT public servants. The private sector benefits with govt cuts. No one else.
TikTok is now region locking Americans from looking up things like "fascism" and "Donald Trump rigged election"
on the left are results from a device in America, and on the right are results from one in the UK.
@blakandblack IMO the best outcome at the next election would be a labor minority government with a crossbench that has the power to force Labor to do better on the NACC, on climate and fossil fuels and on foreign policy (i.e. not bowing down to governments like the US, UK and Israel) //
🚧💼 Peter Dutton is on a mission to rebrand the Liberals as the "party of the worker," aiming straight for blue-collar hearts in outer-metro and regional areas! 💪 But hold up—his love-hate relationship with big business is getting spicy! 🔥
After clashing with corporate giants over the Indigenous Voice and calling for a boycott of Woolworths, Dutton's been vocal about shaking things up. 🛒 But now, it seems he’s back in the corporate good books when it comes to industrial relations. 🤔
With the Minerals Council and Business Council of Australia raising their voices against the government's workplace reforms, the tension is thick. They argue these changes could stifle productivity and investment—yikes! 😱 Meanwhile, Labor and the unions are ready to point out the flip-flop to the very workers Dutton is trying to woo.
Will the Liberals truly be the champions of the everyday worker, or is it all just talk? 🤷♂️ Only time will tell!

What can't Labor prosecute the argument ? @PatrickGormanMP@JasonClareMP@JEChalmers@SabraLane
Speaking of nuclear power - I saw the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant while in Washington state. With massive cost overruns, it was mothballed in 1983 before it produced any electricity. This white elephant still stands because it's too expensive to pull it down.
"Nuclear energy is not suitable for Australia."
In less than 90 seconds, Rod Campbell debunks the argument for nuclear power in Australia #auspol#climate@R_o_d_C
🧵2 days in a row @abcnews has profiled #Dutton for a long PR pre election campaign where he has been allowed to spew the most incredible lies and misinformation without challenge. This for a spineless squib who refuses to be interviewed on the @ABCaustralia. If this is how /2
The national broadcaster has aired another interview riddled with falsehoods to deceive voters as an election looms, as @alanaustin001 reports.

Legal action by Jewish & Muslim group claims Peter Dutton "dehumanising Palestinians, Muslims, and Jews while stigmatising Australians who support Palestinian rights".
