We all know that none of the killers of Al-Hussain were Twelvers, Isma'eelis, Zaydis, or Saba'is.

Was Ubaydullah bin Ziyad a Shi'i? No.
Was Omar bin Sa'ad a Shi'i? No.
Was Sinan bin Anas a Shi'i? No.

سیدنا زید بن حسنؒ کا نقش
مدینہ منورہ کے قریب پہاڑی چٹانوں پر دریافت ہونے والا یہ سیدنا زید بن حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہم کا نقش ہے، جو اہلِ بیت کے ان عظیم ائمہ کرام میں سے ہیں جو علم و عمل میں بلند مقام رکھتے تھے۔
ان کا ایک مشہور نقش اسی راستے پر موجود ہے جہاں سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کا نقش بھی دریافت ہوا ہے۔ یہ علاقہ دراصل حج کے ایک قدیم راستہ میں آتا ہے اور اس میں سینکڑوں نقوش موجود ہیں۔
سیدنا زید کے نقش میں درج ہے:
آمن زيد بن الحسن بالله وحده لا شريك له وشهد ألا إله إلا الله وحده وأن محمدا عبده ورسوله على ذلك يحيى ماحيي وعليه يموت إذا مات....
"زید بن حسن نے ایک اللہ پر ایمان رکھا جس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اور گواہی دی کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے اور محمد ﷺ اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں۔ وہ اسی عقیدے پر زندہ رہے گا جب تک زندہ ہے اور اسی پر مرے گا جب اس کی موت آئے گی۔
اس کے بعد لکھا ہے:
اور وہ اللہ سے دعا کرتے ہیں کہ آخرت میں انہیں رسول اللہ ﷺ کا قرب نصیب ہو، جیسے دنیا میں ان کے قریب کیا تھا۔ انہیں اللہ اپنے محبوبوں، برگزیدوں اور نیک بندوں میں شامل کرے۔ اے اللہ! ہمارے اس قیام گاہ میں برکت عطا فرما اور ہمیں اس کے شر اور ہر شر والے کے شر سے محفوظ رکھ۔"

@Khatana_217 My understanding is that at best, that wording may be a paraphrase from "knowledgeable" or a later extrapolation, not his own words. If anyone has a source, I'd love to see it.

Mālik’s reliability in ḥadīth is unquestioned, but as far as the sources show, Abū Ḥanīfah praises his knowledge, judgement, and truthful answers, yet none are in the rijāl-critical form "reliable in ḥadīth."

"I saw great knowledge spread in Madīnah, and if one person were to gather it all, it is that fair-skinned youth [Mālik]."

@Khatana_217 I don’t think Imām Abū Ḥanīfah ever said "reliable in ḥadīth." If you recall the source, do let me know.

It is said that when he was asked about Imām Mālik, he replied:

"By Allāh! I never saw anyone quicker in giving a truthful answer and sound judgment."

He seems to be a quintessential example of a major Kufan whose stance has effectively disappeared from his own later adherents.

@ammaar_muslim Abū Ḥanīfah is also reported to have said that had he been present at Ṣiffīn, he would have been with the party of ʿAlī which earned him the hostility of the Shāmīs, and that the aṣḥāb al-ḥadīth disliked him for his love and recognition of the merits of the Ahl al-Bayt.
