Taehyung shared, Rage (Ikari) (2016), is notable for its deeply moving LGBTQ+ storyline.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lee Sang-il and based on the novel by Shuichi Yoshida, Rage tells three interconnected stories set across Japan. One of those stories roughly one-third of the film focuses on a gay couple living in Tokyo.

The film is split into three separate narratives, and one of them focuses entirely on a romantic relationship between two men.

The film “RAGE” is based on its original novel written by Shuichi Yoshida. (Shuichi Yoshida is known as a novelist who writes the most gay novels in Japan. His first novel, “The Last Son” was also about a life of a gay guy. )

The film was directed by Lee Sang-il and featured Japanese movie stars such as Ken Watanabe. “RAGE” depicts lives of gay people living in three prefectures, Chiba, Tokyo, and Okinawa. Mr. Tsumabuki plays a gay guy named “Yuma,”who dates a guy named “Naoto” played by Mr. Ayano.

One-third of Rage (Ikari) focuses on Yuma and Naoto, a gay couple living in Tokyo. Despite having very different personalities, the two gradually build a deep relationship and begin living together. Their story explores love, trust, companionship, and the desire to share a future together.
