Climate change is not something young people in Borno State are waiting to experience. Many of us are already living with its effects. I contributed to the Youth Voices as a guest speaker at the LCOY Northeast Nigeria Pre-COP31 Climate Dialogue in Maiduguri.

I was honored to participate in the 4th Northeast Youth in Crisis Confab (NYiCC 4.0) in Yola, which brought together young leaders and humanitarian actors from Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe.
Yesterday, we took climate action to the streets of Maiduguri as part of the Global Climate Action Week 2026. I joined young people, civil society organizations, government agencies, climate advocates, partner organizations for a Climate Action Street Walk.

Leadership involves listening, learning, and taking action, regardless of titles. As the Borno State Coordinator of Activista, I appreciate the trust placed in me and look forward to collaborative efforts. This is a collective endeavor.
Eid Mubarak! Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed, joyous and prosperous Eid filled with peace, health and happiness…. May Allah accept our good deeds, forgive our transgressions and ease the suffering of all people around the world… Ameen🤲

We are not the sum of where we started, but the proof of what we refused to become.
Becoming is a quiet process. You don’t always notice it while it’s happening, only when you look back and realize you’re no longer the same person.
Growth is not loud It is consistent

Happy Birthday Al-Hussain🎉🎉🎉
Today is a reminder that my life is still unfolding, step by step, lesson by lesson, win by win. I’m grateful for how far I’ve come and everything that has shaped me into who I am today.
May this new year of my life bring clarity into my life.
A man must build three pillars, and none of them can be weak. A body that can handle pressure, because life will test your strength.
A mind that doesn't panic, because chaos is guaranteed. And a skill that creates income, because survival requires value.
~Al-Hussain
May the magic of this Eid bring lots of happiness into your life.
Wishing you a joyful and blessed Eid-ul-Fitr, and May Allah's blessings be upon you and your loved ones.

There are five words I live by… Five principles that quietly shape my journey and fuel every step of my life.
Hard Work.
Consistency.
Persistency.
Patience.
Humility.
These words are not just ideas to me.
They are a chain… Each one linked to the other.

Al-Hussain from Nigeria here.
I just wanted to let you all know that I safely arrived home in Nigeria, my flight landed about an hour ago. I’m truly grateful for the friendship, companionship, thoughtful suggestions, and the great moments we shared during the forum.
Standing beneath this tree, watching the petals dance with the wind, I’m reminded that life too is like sakura… temporary, precious and meant to be lived in full bloom.
May we all learn to bloom boldly, live beautifully and fall gracefully when the season changes. 🌸✨
Beyond the conversations and commitments, I also had the chance to experience the beauty and culture of Japan 🇯🇵
After thoughtful discussions follows a quiet moments exploring Tokyo✨
From Borno to Tokyo🇳🇬🇯🇵📍
Over the past days in Tokyo, Japan, young leaders from across the world came together to engage in honest and critical conversations about justice, reintegration and the role of youth and communities in preventing reoffendingbthrough social reintegration
Alhamdulillah🙏
I safely arrived in Tokyo, Japan ahead of the 4th Global Youth Forum for a culture of lawfulness organized by the Ministry of Justice of Japan in collaboration with UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes.
