It was a culmination of circumstances,including last season’s final against HYD,when Crystal John made a controversial call regarding a ‘last man’ foul.

When the same Ref is making intentional controversial calls everytime,the integrity of the referee/match is under suspicion.

Crystal sprayed the ball and kept the spray back. Luna noticed and asked why the 10-yard line wasn't being sprayed. In response, Crystal requested that Luna move back. Luna started to move backwards, and at the same time, Chhetri attempted to hit the ball. Luna objected and turned around to make sure the wall was properly set before Chhetri struck the ball. After Chhetri hit the ball, Crystal gave the signal to go.
