Put the blood tie aside, she honestly feels it is okay to leave a lover for another because of a phone.
A phone!!!
God forbid! We cannot blame this on poverty. Something is outrightly wrong with our value system.

Bring back the blood tie. She thinks it is okay for her baby brother's first love experience to end in a heart break because someone got his girlfriend a phone. Even worse, you're asking strangers to laugh at him because you think it is funny and valid. If someone gets her a better phone, she would leave the new guy too. Where does it end? Is this what we are validating? That's a shame.
Many married women or women in relationships want this kind of freedom: to be married or in a serious relationship without accountability, where they can do whatever they want and go out and come back late without their man questioning them.
As a woman, if you want total freedom and don’t want to be accountable to anyone, remain single.
Should I increase the volume?
Privilege is such an interesting thing I often find myself thinking about. We do not ask for the life we have, and that is why I'm very mindful of it. You often find it a lot in my writing.
Last week, my cleaner told me on Monday(2 days ago) was her birthday. I asked her what age we are celebrating and she said 33. Epiphany hit me that my agemate is my cleaner. I wore a wry smile as I nodded my head and told her to remind me on Monday so she could get her gift.
I then went to my room to deal with the epiphany of privilege. In another universe, that could easily have been me.
All of you asking for complete story, here it is.
My aunty took me to this pastor’s house for counseling, she had to go to work, so she left me there. This man took me to one of the rooms in his house and while pretending to pray for me, started touching me inappropriately.
I was shocked and confused at the same time. He covered it with words like “I want you to get close to me”. Started telling me about ladies that are close to him and how he helped them relocate abroad. That if I wanted to marry quickly, I should stay close and be around him.
After that episode, he paid my return flight ticket and asked that I kept in touch. He invited me to a convention that he was holding in one state, said he was going to lodge me in a hotel. I collected money for return flight tickets, didn’t show up and then blocked him.
Ironically, I actually prefer to "toast" a girl when I'm broke.
Apart from alcohol, talking to a woman is another form of distraction I use when I don't want to overthink anything. So whenever I'm broke, I distract myself by talking to multiple women.
I can't give you what I don't have. You can't take money that I don't even have. So, you'd probably have to spend on me first. If you're lucky and we did not break up before I get boosted again, I will reciprocate.
That's why I can't even relate to the whole idea of using money to impress or motivate any girl to date me.
That already means she has the money. Why is she asking him?
The babe that has would spend and the guy that doesn't have would be indebted to the babe that has, to prove mumu masculinity.
Very nonsense mentality
Started dating one girl years ago, her younger sister called me on her birthday to tell me about birthday gift, I called my babe and gave her the warning of her life to call her sister and make sure such nonsense does not repeat itself again and it never happened again.
Infact a part of me checked out of the relationship at that point.
How many of my own siblings dy call you to ask you for birthday gift so why should your own siblings be crossing that boundary?.
With women, you always start how you intend to continue or finish. I will look you in the eyes and tell you NO and heaven will not fall. Its my money.
Nigerian women still dy do all this nonsense wey them dy do because Nigerian men allow and enable it.
TF is your babe's family calling you and asking you for money and gifts for?.
