Manchester United briefed the exact same way last season before signing Benjamin Sesko. They would've paid up for Carlos Baleba after that, Antoine Semenyo again in January or Mateus Fernandes earlier in the window before Spurs offered crazy wages.

I'm simply not buying the idea that is their plan - or that they are relying on Mason Mount - who has played 47.3% of PL games since joining the club. They have to sign another CM, a LB & another forward. Otherwise the season is setup to fail, because it doesn't add up.

David Ornstein said Manchester United would be the busiest club this summer & though it hasn't played out as publicly as it used to, I still believe it will happen. If not? Then they will deserve the criticism coming.
