As an update, my guy that did this got a sponsored role with one of the investment banks. The salary is quite okay for him to pay £1k every month to offset the loan on time.

Sometimes, you have to take the risk if it is worth it.

Detachment feels natural these days. Not in a cold or bitter way, but in a grown, self aware way. I don’t have the energy for nonsense anymore, no pointless back and forth, no confusion, no entertaining behavior that disrupts my peace. If something feels off, I don’t overexplain or overextend. I simply step back.

I’ve learned that everything doesn’t deserve a reaction, a response, or access to me. Protecting my peace means knowing when to disengage and choosing calm over chaos. I’m not here to fix people, chase clarity, or tolerate inconsistency.

I value my time, my energy, and my sanity too much to waste them on nonsense. And honestly? Life feels lighter this way.
