.@LulaOficial, someone who talks entirely too much shit, is projecting here.
Have you heard what happened today at the G7?
Lula tried to give a long, rambling, speech at the AI forum.
It was so bad - and Lula was so incoherent - that @EmmanuelMacron had to step in and cut him off because he wouldn’t shut up.
Lula got upset, threw a temper tantrum like a baby, and then got up and walked out.
So, yeah, Lula is someone who talks too much.
Statement from CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp on the Political Persecution of Eduardo Bolsonaro
CPAC condemns in the strongest possible terms the conviction and sentencing of Eduardo Bolsonaro by Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court. This is a grave violation of democratic norms, free speech, and the rule of law.
Let’s be clear: Eduardo Bolsonaro’s so-called “crime” was not violence. It was not corruption. It was not a threat against anyone. His alleged crime was exposing the corruption, censorship, and abuse of power taking place inside the Brazilian government and its Supreme Court.
This is lawfare, plain and simple. Eduardo Bolsonaro is being targeted for political reasons because he dared to speak the truth about what is happening in Brazil and because he refused to stay silent while his father, President Jair Bolsonaro, and millions of Brazilian conservatives were subjected to political persecution.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes has become the face of this judicial overreach. Moraes ignored a U.S. judicial proceeding related to censorship of Americans on social media only reinforced what the world already sees: Brazil’s ruling establishment wants the power to silence its critics at home while escaping scrutiny abroad.
Even more alarming, Moraes voted to convict Eduardo Bolsonaro in a case in which Moraes himself claims to be the victim. In any impartial judicial system, it would be unthinkable for a magistrate to act simultaneously as judge and alleged victim. Yet that is precisely what Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court has allowed, turning the appearance of justice into an instrument of political retribution.
No court should be above accountability. No judge should be allowed to censor political opponents, intimidate opponents, or punish citizens for speaking out. And no democracy can survive when criminal law is twisted into a weapon against the opposition.
CPAC stands with Eduardo Bolsonaro, President Jair Bolsonaro, and the Brazilian people who are fighting for free speech, fair elections, judicial accountability, and real democracy.
The world is watching Brazil. Conservatives across America and around the globe will not be silent while lawfare replaces justice.
🗣️BREAKING NEWS | TRUMP COMENTA CASO DE EDUARDO BOLSONARO
O caso Eduardo Bolsonaro ganhou dimensão internacional.
🇧🇷🇺🇸NO FILTER
My quick video explains what is happening in Brazil after yesterday’s conviction by Brazil’s Supreme Court, sentencing me to 4 years and 2 months in prison for denouncing human rights violator Alexandre de Moraes.
Watch it.
Share it.
The world needs to know what is happening in Brazil.
President @realDonaldTrump, please reimpose sanctions against this authoritarian figure. The same people persecuting me today also despise everything your administration stands for: free speech, democracy, and the rule of law.
🇧🇷 Brazil’s Supreme Court hit Eduardo Bolsonaro with over 4 years in prison for asking the U.S. for help.
Trump:
“They arrested him because he made a statement in Texas."
At the same time, an Italian court basically told Brazil “no thanks” on extraditing another politician because:
"Illogicality of the reasoning regarding the accumulation of the functions of the victim, 1st-instance judge, 2nd-instance judge, and execution judge in the person of Minister Alexandre de Moraes"
That’s how bad it’s gotten in Brazil; we're talking about a Supreme Court dictatorship on a whole other level.
