And just like that it's my last day @Mediatonic /Epic Games. It has been an emotional rollercoaster and I will miss all the awesome people I got to work with. Hopefully I will be able to start the next chapter in my career...until then it's time to get festive
Geoff, please I beg you
Start the show with a long and needed open conversation about the problems devs faced this year
It's important for gamers to understand despite the success, what conditions are currently like for the industry as a whole
You have the best platform for it
Last week, Epic Games announced that 830 employees were impacted by layoffs and unfortunately I am one of them. The last almost 3 years has been a learning journey and I have made lifelong friends.
So long, it was truly Epic.
This got a lot more engagement than I expected!
Thanks so much to everyone who commented lovely messages, I'm now a bit more put together and can show you all some of the awesome stuff I did during my wonderful 2.5 years at MT.
Onto new things❤️

Like many of my (exceptionally talented) friends and colleagues, my job is also at risk following yesterday's news.
I am crushed, it's been almost seven years. I hope everyone affected manages to land on their feet 💔
@red_vanda Hey Mel, thank you for reaching out, I have sent James and Daryl some messages to see whats happening at Sumo. will be going through a few options over the next week or so
Unfortunately I am one of the many affected by today's layoffs at Epic/Mediatonic. So many amazing, talented people are suffering from this and you should hire every single one of them.
Speaking of which I am open to any and all remote/hybrid production roles that may be going.
