Cool beans. Sad to say during pandemic I applied my kids to private school as a public school teacher.

My youngest just got accepted to Loomis Chaffee the 12 best high school in America. A good scholarship. A very good scholarship but rule say cannot disclose.

I recommend to you if your kids our smart. But I did put my kids in a math school on weekends. They are 3 grade levels above average student. My cost 2,000 a kid. But scholarship wise over $350,000 . Im not at college yet.

I will give Trump this. Now is time to explore private. If the rock the test. A standardized they give for all private your kid is golden.

My youngest goes to a private based on siblings. But in 8th grade she placed 4th on state for Cross Country at the High School level. They dont have to follow public mandates.

The school she beat to get 4th instead of fifth said apply next year..

Hence Loomis....and coming from a public school teacher. It your kid rocks tests apply private. If the dont give a scholarship go current course but if they do...you put your kid on track to be the elite..

Education I agree. I have been teaching for 30 years I did some of it right. But this current generation of students is the first generation to do worse on every measurement. Math. English, science etc..The first time in American history this has happened. But it is not a culture thing like thinking I'm turning your child trans or integrated classrooms. Damn with all my mandates I have no time to talk about that crap.

It big tech in 2010 pushing their devices in school. And Social media. We geared our curriculum around their bullshit products instead of what the students needed. Why because asshole like Bill GAtes poored millions if not billions of dollars into their education initiatives..so a superintendent in a poor district is all of the sudden offer 5 million dollars for their school system? What would you do.

So please stop blaming Muslims, blacks, Trans etc..

Until we can take back our government from big business we are doomed to a dystopia of serving our corporate masters.

Unfortunately the innovation there is like America at the end of the 1800's to early 1900's. Their students can do math unlike Americans. I saw 8th grade pre calculus in China. In 8th grade in America we give Algebra 1. We are fucked unless we invest more in education.

Plus the religion in politics scares me. If you know world history. Religion and gov is the biggest killer of people. Our founding fathers realized this. and finally as a teacher who does work with the Muslim community the blanket hate needs to stop..I learned living around the world most people just care about getting by with their families. And I do have students who's parents stood up for America.. its not right what we are doing as Americans. Judge the individual not the group. The are good people and assholes in every culture.
