@lokiavivson@RexKram55112378 Looks like a standard 455 coach of a /7 or /8 as the windows arenโt the 508 design and the coach has a roof fan fitted down the far end of the coach.
@TrainLifeGB @transporthub21 The diagram they are on is an 8 car only diagram due to the shunt at Wimbledon Park which they are doing because of engineering works. They are standing in for a shortage of serviceable 450s
@CallumGreenINV @TrainLifeGB There is no specific diagrams however 3 pairs of units are being retained until March. They can be used as required provided the diagram has no operational restrictions for 455 stock.
@TrainLifeGB @RexKram55112378 I know thatโs what I was meaning. Having the 5 cars also opens up possibilities to add in more services particularly in the peak so not a complete waste.
@TrainLifeGB @RexKram55112378 Not that I know of. Atm thereโs 3 455 & 13 458 diagrams. That means only 16 more 701/0s needed and thatโs only 46/60 ten cars. Some 701s are likely also take 450s off their metro duties so that will still leave some 701/0s spare as well as all the 5 cars. Why keep the 458s also?
@TrainLifeGB @RexKram55112378 Maybe so but things like this are not planned and are adhoc. Also 458/4s are not currently planned to be supporting 701s through to 2027.
@TrainLifeGB @RexKram55112378 There is no requirement for additional 455s to cover 458/4s. Only one 458/4 is sent to BOMO at a time and it doesnโt take them long to swap the required components for a C4 and send it back out again.
