@hm You must formally investigate the death of Jeyasre Kathiravel who died after the result of unchecked sexual harassment and gender based violence at one of your factories in Tamil Nadu. We demand justice.
20-year-old Dalit garment worker at the @hm supplier factory Natchi Apparels in Tamil Nadu was raped and murdered by her immediate supervisor.
Workers in the factory said that the death followed months of sexual harassment in the workplace.

.@nextofficial trying to cater to the Muslim community with their kurtas for Eid but have you checked on your Muslim garment workers this Ramadan?? Are they being paid their wages during the pandemic let alone living wage in general????
.@Nike made $1.4 BILLION from december to March. Meanwhile, the workers who make the products they profit from were left penniless when factories shut down last year. At Violet Apparel alone, workers are owed at least $343,174.

Women mass-protest in the streets tonight. After all of the unthinkable military repression.
The Myanmar people continue to protest every day, after so many days of being gunned down in the streets. It’s a truly historic feat of human courage and spirit, without comparison.
Shame on you @HM. We’re not fooled by your conscious points system. We know you’re using it to deflect from any meaningful assessment of your own sustainability credentials & to put the onus on consumers.
We haven’t forgotten about Jeyasre, either. We demand #JusticeForJeyasre✊🏽
Today we stand in solidarity and commemorate Jeyasre. A young woman with hopes and dreams, the first person in her village to go to college. However this was brutally shattered by the murderous reality of the @hm supply chain.
From Japan, JTNC Watch is telling brands such as @Nike, @amazon, @nextofficial: #PayYourWorkers#RespectLabourrights. They're one of the over 220 organisations supporting the campaign. Have you signed the petition? 🖊️https://t.co/ep9sRXWfmn 📢 12,000+ people have already done so.
@hm Where is the justice for Jeyasre Kathiravel? It’s been 3 months since she was raped and murdered working at one of your factories in Tamil Nadu. You MUST sign the binding agreement to END gender based violence in your factories! #JusticeForJeyasre

This is great news for Jeyasre's family but only the beginning. We need @hm to eliminate GBV from their supply chain and protect women. Start with signing the binding agreement on gender-based violence!!!
Today is the three-month anniversary of Jeyasre's horrific murder. Join the day of action to stand in solidarity, and to demand #JusticeForJeyasre and an end to gender based violence in the fashion industry.
