BREAKING: A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv briefly transmitted emergency code 7700, followed by code 7500, which is used to signal an aircraft hijacking.

The plane was reportedly descending manually before turning back.

According to estimates, over 100 Israelis were onboard.

According to reports, the aircraft turned off its radar signal and disappeared from flight-tracking apps.

Israeli air traffic control was unable to make contact with the plane for more than half an hour.

Reports say one of the pilots suddenly sent the plane into a steep dive in what may have been an attempt to crash the aircraft, while the second pilot fought to regain control.

A violent struggle then broke out inside the cockpit, and one of the pilots was reportedly stabbed during the fight.

The second pilot managed to take control of the plane and prevent a disaster.

Authorities are now trying to determine what exactly happened and whether the pilot was attempting suicide or possibly trying to carry out a terror attack.

The first images emerging from the aircraft show the aftermath of the violent incident onboard, including blood-stained clothing.

An initial assessment in Israel is that the co-pilot stabbed the pilot and planned to crash the aircraft
