This thread is about things I’ve learned from my own natural hair journey as a 4c woman. It will be ongoing and will include products, pictures, links and my thoughts on how to get more comfortable with your natural hair.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: pregnancy is not a walk in the park. It is a high risk stage of life, and anyone who thinks otherwise is misinformed. Dr. Janell Green Smith, a certified nurse midwife, tragically passed away from complications of childbirth. If someone with deep medical training and access to care is not immune to the risks of pregnancy, no woman is.
We need to stop minimizing pregnancy and stop telling women they should “just have more babies” while ignoring the very real medical risks, gaps in care, and lack of postpartum support. Pronatalism without maternal safety is not pro-life, it’s reckless.
Mind you, men didn’t even believe postpartum depression existed and used to laugh off women as them being just hormonal and dramatic not too long ago. Now all of a sudden they also “have it”
I never understood people saying “women are emotional.”
1. Men commit ~90–95% of violent crime worldwide.
2. Around 80%+ of non-violent crime.
3. Start wars over power and ego.
4. Domestic violence rises ~30–40% in England during major football matches.
5. Punch walls when their team loses.
6. Kill and beat women for saying no.
Why aren’t you considering “Anger” as emotional?
START QUESTIONING THINGS!
Single women: be careful of partnered women using you as a sounding board/punching bag for their woes. They come to you with issues but won’t leave due to internalised patriarchy and derogatory views of singleness. They scapegoat you when you give accurate views of their reality.
A man who sleeps with 200 women can impregnate 200 women.
A woman who sleeps with 200 men can only get pregnant once.
So why is the woman the one being controlled?
Shouldn’t the man keep his d*ck in his pants or get a vasectomy?
Isn’t that the most logical solution?
As a woman you owe whatever freedom you have to the women before you and you owe the women after you a continuous of such freedom. Yes, you are your sister's keeper and your sister being every woman. No woman is really free unless we all are.
You must always ask yourself which role you are playing in advancing women’s rights.
a gender war would exist if women who hate men were killing, raping, and beating men every day around the world, like men who hate women do. in reality, it’s a massacre on women, and men are mad that we no longer accept their mysoginistic and violent behavior.
As a man, you do not have rights around pregnancy because you cannot get pregnant. Your reproductive role is ejaculating & you have every right to choose whether and where you do that....have some self accountability!
No let me rephrase. Men caught two pedophiles and instead of reporting and taking their asses to jail, they organized a fun fist match for content purposes. Men’s disposition to sexual violence of girls really saved me from engaging in “false accusation” rhetorics because even the identified predators are offered freedom and used to crack jokes because victims’ lives hold no value to them except when the victims are men and even at that, it is reduced to homophobia
Woman on tiktok reported how she and her husband got root canals on the same day, same doc. He got percoset, she got ibuprofen. Dentist said, "women handle pain better." Comment section filled with women reporting similar experiences. You will never convince me that patriarchy & gender inequality isn't to blame for this cruelty. Underneath the "women can handle pain better" line is "women are supposed to suffer."
I still cannot wrap my mind around how LOT in the Bible offered his two virgin daughters to a mob of men to be raped.
He chose to “protect” male strangers over his own daughters, whom he had raised and known their entire lives.
And that’s the most disturbing part:
The story exposes how easily women’s bodies were treated as currency, as bargaining chips to preserve male reputation and male alliances.
My sister was assisting with a pediatric surgery when the male surgeon told a crude sexual joke about the patient's parents. Room chuckled awkwardly; she stayed silent, focused on the kid.
He called her out mid-case: "Why no laugh?" She said, "I'm here for the patient, not that." He complained she "lacked team spirit" & requested she never be assigned to his OR again. So no, it's not women ruining workplaces....it's the fragile ego of men!
