A potentially catastrophic Flash Flood Emergency is now active near Beaumont, Texas, where 20+ IN of rain has already fallen from the storm’s slow-moving rainbands.

We are witnessing a textbook Brown Ocean Effect take place this morning.

@34rthhasrisen @emma6USA My family heritage goes back to this town. Many of my ancestors worked those mines. I remember traveling there to meet family members. My grandparents are from there and met there before moving to Philadelphia before WWII. Heavy Ukrainian immigrant area.
