As per @TeleFootball, understand Xabi Alonso would be very much open to the idea of signing a new goalkeeper.

Told that Martinez wages at Aston Villa are quite high so there will need to be a willingness on the Argentine’s side to make the deal happen, should Chelsea decide to quickly advance.

The club are big fans of the mentality and experience that Martinez offers, seen as a goalkeeper who does not let in game setbacks affect him, an area which Alonso is prioritising the improvement of from previous seasons.
