GHANA: President John Mahama just laid bare Africa's economic trap, and he didn't mince words. Speaking on TRT World, he perfectly diagnosed why the continent is still struggling for real independence.

He pointed out that the current global system forces Africa into a dependency syndrome. The most damning part of his critique hits right at the mechanics of neocolonial trade:

"We live on the handouts that the West gives us... Our resources are bought at prices that are set by the West and exported. And the finished products are sent back to us at prices that are set by the West."

Mahama's point is clear: Africa is essentially exporting its own wealth and jobs, only to buy them back at a premium. Through his "Accra Reset" agenda, he's calling for absolute resource sovereignty-meaning local refining, local manufacturing, and stopping raw exports. It's a blunt reminder that political freedom means nothing without economic emancipation.

The Constitution does not provide for a national tallying centre.

We must therefore stop treating Bomas of Kenya or any other physical location as though it were a constitutional command that presidential results must pass through a central tallying facility.

Article 138 of the Constitution sets out the architecture for the presidential election. Votes are counted at the polling station, the results are declared at the polling station, and the constitutional responsibility of the IEBC Chairperson is to declare the result of the presidential election.

There is no provision in the Constitution establishing Bomas, or any other venue, as a mandatory national tallying centre.

Our demand is therefore simple: there should be no national tallying centre at Bomas, or anywhere else in this country.

Let the law determine the electoral architecture not administrative tradition, political convenience or practices that have acquired the illusion of constitutional status.

Kenya's elections must be administered according to the Constitution, not according to what we have become accustomed to doing. The Constitution is supreme. Everything else must conform to it.

Breaking: Macklemore was just kicked off Ed Sheeren’s tour for speaking out against genocide.

Here is what he said:

“Free Palestine! I want those words to be loud and clear so the people from Gaza all the way to the occupied West Bank know we have not forgotten them. To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters: criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid, being against genocide is in no way a criticism of you. My message is for peace. Love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. None of us will be free until we are all free.”

Israel has killed over 100,000 Palestinians and has also killed free speech in the United States.
