Stopped playing Clair Obscur bc of it. Won't play 1666 Amsterdam bc of it. So many players won't play your game if it has Gen AI in it in any capacity so DON'T. USE. IT. Hire real artists. Don't cut corners. LOVE YOUR CREATIONS INSTEAD OF CHEAPENING IT.
The whole "we used ai at the start of the creative process oh but dont worry human hands made this game at the end of it!" is such a missing the forest for the trees thing that game devs are either blissfully unaware or intentionally obtuse about. And it's now becoming common.
I was kinda excited about "1666: Amsterdam". But I saw the Ai altered images in the game with zero disclaimer in Steam, and now I feel kinda meeeeeh. Like do whatever, but where is the disclaimer? Or it's gonna be "oh, it's a placeholder, there will be no AI in the final game"?
Kingdom Hearts fans are roasting the newly announced Kingdom Hearts Collection after promotional artwork shared by the official account was accused of made with AI.
The official account posted artwork that looks AI-generated, and people are calling out the sloppy details and low quality in the character designs.
“Dream Slop Distance”
I will never stop banging the drum that AI plagiarizes by default.
You can literally never be sure it isn't ripping something else off when you generate an image, asset, or video.
This is from Zelda if you didn't know.
Being part of a generation that was told “Wikipedia is not a source” makes it genuinely baffling to me that jobs are now telling people to just use ChatGPT for everything.
i love jack quaid. i love motion capture. there is no reason that jack quaid needs to motion capture when he is a literal cube. an animator would bring 9999x more life to this than an ape in a onesie.
