Thank you to Misty Gedlinske, Lawrence Foster, and Daniel Degner for running, and thank you to the candidates who ran in the primary. Running for office isn't easy, but it is so important that we have dedicated citizens who do. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all do next!

This was a hard-fought campaign, and emotions were high. I'm proud of the positive campaign I ran, and I am so grateful for all of the support I received. I truly hope this will be a turning point for Fond du Lac, and that we can get to work healing the deep divisions.
COVID-19 vaccines are free, age is the only eligibility requirement (18 and up if the vaccine is Johnson & Johnson) and the next sign-up through the County will open Thursday at 9 AM: https://t.co/CQedIKxrqY

I got to add a companion to my "I voted" sticker - I got my COVID-19 vaccine! Thank you to everyone working at the @fonddulaccounty Health Department vaccine clinic.
Good morning, and happy Election Day! Polls are open until 8 PM. We voted before school and were voters 4 and 5 in Ward 11.
I'm so excited this day is finally here, and I have so many people to thank.
I've also gained a new appreciation for how important these local elections are, so please don't forget the other races on today's ballot: School Board, County Executive, Circuit Court, Court of Appeals, and State Superintendent. All of these races directly impact our community.

Transparency is key in maintaining public trust in government at any level. You can listen to the discussion on the issue of high costs in open records requests in Wisconsin here: https://t.co/tiFRgovWGc
On the subject of government transparency, last week Greg Stensland interviewed Bill Leuders, president of the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council. They discussed the high costs associated with the recent open records requests regarding the Lakeside Park project.
I was not aware of the City of Fond du Lac requesting fees in the thousands to provide these records, and open records requests being cost-prohibitive to citizens is very troubling. I hope we can address this issue to ensure the public has better access to information.
Thanks @fdlreporter for including my thoughts on the proposed City Council social media policy. I'm in favor of this proposal because it would increase transparency, and Council members should be held to a higher standard as representatives of Fond du Lac.
