Breast feeding, oh so not a glamorous adventure. The following is a thread about the issues I have had breast feeding Squeaky Cub. There is a lot pressure now days to breast fed but it is not something is easy nor instinctive, much like most of being a parent. The guilt is real.

Squeaky is 1 today. I can't believe how quickly it has gone! Life is amazing.

Shout out to @thedinertweets spitalfields, who were very accommodating when we rolled up with our huge buggy and a hungry Squeaky. Kirsty got his food heated without a murmur or a we can't do that. So helpful. And the food was tasty, hot and yum. 10/10 on supporting parents.

Off to pick Squeaky up from the childminder after a settle in session. Walking out their door is one of the bravest things I've ever done.

There has got to be a trick to get the spout on a @tommeetippee_UK training sippee cup to match with handle AND not leak also able to get it off without swearing. So easy to cross thread it is bonkers.

5am feed. Boob kitchen was very full and Squeaky wanting to knead it meant I could hear the milk hitting the back of his throat and he was milk drunk in less than five minutes. #adventuresinbreastfeeding

Squeaky has discovered the cats are living beings. He is so excited to see them! Now to teach him not to grab at them. Blue collar is surprisingly gentle. Red collar only come near when Squeaky is at the boob kitchen. Sensible cat.

This morning's adventure is good is peanut butter toast. Not much toast has been eaten but there is no peanut butter on the toast now. He seems to like it. A lot. #feedthebaby

Just fed squeaky ye olde boob juice because he literally threw himself at my boobs when I cuddled him. Like he was starving. He fed and now chilled in his cot. Long may this continue. #adventuresinbreastfeeding

Squeaky went to bed an hour earlier than normal. What to do. What to do? Slouch on couch.

He is out of surgery. Waiting for him to return but we have had a visit from the surgeon. She is not happy with the stability of the hip. He is having a CT scan to check it is in the right place. Not good news. Fingers crossed it is in. #spicajourney #hipdysplasia

Squeaky slept seven hour straight but when awake is very clingy. He was all smiles as I changed his bum and gave him painkillers this morning at 4.30am. We are back in cloth nappies & once I have the cast dye off his skin we will be back to normal. #hipdysplasia

Balls and bugger it. Due to Squeaky's very unstable hip the closed reduction has failed. We are waiting for the cast to be removed. There will be another cast but not now. More details later. #hipdysplasia #spicajourney
