@AbiHabas@tifasweetie Well theres always going to be someone throwing a fit i dont know the answer on handling locker rooms though so idk. Cause you obviously cant have a whole locker room for trans individuals thats just not reasonable. Changing is easy but showers not so much
@vivianamarie02 No i didnt and I agree it ended up overhyped but many didnt and i think if the potential is therr then it should be addressed. Hindsight is 20/20 but if we didnt test and manage the disease and it turned out to be the worst disease ever known wed be saying wr didnt do enough
@vivianamarie02 Its apart of medical plans but its like an ad on its not mandated by default. If im paying for eyecare yes i fully expect them to provide the service im paying for
@vivianamarie02 You really think if theres a disease that can potentially kill millions and millions of americans shouldnt be tested for and covered by insurance? Thats insane to me that youd think that.
@vivianamarie02 Just like how prices for everything wrnt up during covid because of supposed supply issues and yet they never came back down? Quit fooling yourself into thinking any company will care about what we pay. They will look at the ptofits they will earn and go oh er can make more
@vivianamarie02 Well the covid stuff does have a real reason to have been mandated because whether you agree with it or not it was generally assumed to be important for keeping the health of the country as a whole. As far as electrolysis i agree that should prolly be a separate contract.
@vivianamarie02 Youre coping so hard if you think prices go down lol. Insurance companies only care about profits and this is just giving them an avenue to increase them
@vivianamarie02 No i haven’t but i also havent been a football coach and i can know when a coach makes a stupid ass decision or when a quarterback fucked up lol. If you think valid claims dont get denied on a regular basis then youre clueless
@vivianamarie02 Noone can plan for every catastrophic failure and be able to pick and choose what illnesses are covered and which arent. It should all be covered aslong as a DOCTOR says its medically necessary imo. That should be the only stipulation. Anything else can get specific contracts for
@vivianamarie02 Sure but insurance companies dont even want to pay out for catastrophic cases. Routine physicals and stuff like that make up like 3.5% of medical spending for insurance companies. It is not why our insurance costs as much as it does. That’s approximately $10-$15 a month extra
@vivianamarie02 I mean i would agree that you should be able to. But thats a completely different discussion than government telling insurance to provide the service they promised
@vivianamarie02 Insurance literally will deny coverage constantly despite a doctor saying its necessary and when a person cant pay themselves then what? Just get fucked and go die? Wtf are we paying for insurance at that point for?
@vivianamarie02 These are fundamentally different. Noone believes car insurance should be for basic maintenance and noone thinks that for healthcare either… but oil changes are expected from the beginning and no health concern ever is
@vivianamarie02 Youre right they dont providecare directly but they are responsible for if someone can get it or not in many cases. Also health issues are the unexpected lol noone goes in expecting to be diagnosed with cancer or get strep. And if im paying you to cover that stuff i expect covrge
@vivianamarie02 Im confused at why you think an insurance company shouldnt have to provide care when we pay them for years specifically for that reason… or why they shouldnt provide coverage when thats their entire purpose if existing… insurance companies are just glorified con artists.
@AbiHabas@tifasweetie I think very few ppl believe this to be acceptable. Typically the argument is after being on estrogen for a extended period of time. Anyone arguing for it from the very day someone says theyre trans is wrong imo.
@vivianamarie02 Lol that is just not true. How can you not see that insurance companies are only in it to make money and they will raise prices regardless of government oversight. Also universal healthcare wont raise prices because 1 entity is deciding them that isnt in it for profits
