@kalamashaka@KoinangeJeff Koinange’s interview appears to be staged to present a particular image that the government wishes to convey. The situation in South Sudan is not peaceful, and conditions seem to be worsening rather than improving on a daily basis.
I believe they're just planning to move Hamas, like they did with Arafat's forces when they were kicked out of Beirut in 1982, instead of addressing the issue of all Palestinians. Whether it's just Hamas or some Palestinians, we definitely don't want any terrorists on our land.
Acronym soup in #SouthSudan, already murky, thickens. Stephen Par Kuol leads a new group that is breaking away from the SPLM-IO ("In Opposition"). Does this make them IO-IO (yo yo?), or do they retain the "simple" IO?😐
Stephen Par's IO exists only on paper, with only a handful of individuals joining him due to fear or the lure of new opportunities. Both the military and the civilian population who back the IO remain loyal to Dr. Machar.

🚨BREAKING: Italian Prime Minister Meloni tells France and UK they are on their own if they go into Ukraine.
Italy rejects sending Italian troops to Ukraine.
Do you support this?
YES or NO?
This is outrageous, and it seems you lack a clear understanding of your role at JD Vance. You are fixated on reducing support for Ukraine, yet you fail to condemn the devastation caused by Putin's unlawful invasion. A resounding NO to your poll.
🚨BREAKING: President Trump has HALTED all weapon sales to Ukraine, and is considering freezing weapon shipments from U.S. stockpiles, per WSJ
The U.S. will also no longer finance weapon purchases for Ukraine.
Does Trump have your full support on this?
YES or NO?
@NicholasCoghlan This statement is completely misleading and factually incorrect. The GDP declined by 27% last year, so it would be nothing short of miraculous for South Sudan's GDP to increase by 27.2% in 2025.
@PatrickHeinisc1 It will get worse if no political solution isn’t found soon. Uganda will likely suffer most especially with many people blaming Uganda for interfering and indirectly instigating this crisis
2. The government did not just target the White Army with airstrikes, as the White Army lack established bases. Instead, the government bombed villages, resulting in the deaths of women, children, and the elderly due to indiscriminate barrel bombings
You offer a great analytical perspective, but I would like to point out two facts : 1. Kiir didn’t solely dismiss the Nuer minister; he also removed the governors of Upper Nile and Western Equatoria, who belong to the Shilluk and Balanada ethnic groups, respectively.

Furthermore, there is no official organization referred to as the White Army, making his statement misleading and politically driven. Every Nuer politician aims to emerge as a prominent leader within the Nuer community, but none can truly take on the role of Dr. Machar.
Is he implying that Dr. Machar should distance himself from the Nuer community? There is no recognized political or organizational entity called the White Army that he could renounce. The White Army is made up of individuals who unite during periods of conflict.
#South_Sudan's Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster Taban Deng Gai tells First Vice President Riek Machar to denounce the White Army. He also suggested to Machar to leave the integration of his army in the hands of President Salva Kiir and the SSPDF. https://t.co/am96tgn85p
Due to deteriorating security Radisson Blu Hotel in #Juba on Thursday 27th said all of its foreign staff members will be evacuated out of #SouthSudan. It also recommended it's international guests to leave the country. #KeepEyesOnSouthSudan#Ssox#ssot
@martinplaut South Sudan is already a fragile nation, and given the current political climate, it’s likely that conditions will worsen before they improve—an improvement doesn't seem imminent. Excluding Dr. Machar from the political landscape will not contribute to South Sudan's stability
I have little hope for peace in South Sudan, and I believe this marks the onset of a civil war that will be extremely difficult to resolve. Who will place their trust in entities like the IGAD Troika and the AU, which advocate for peace?
#South_Sudan’s First Vice President Riek Machar is being arrested now. The security forces who delivered the arrest warrant and demanded to take him are in his residence now.
@PatrickHeinisc1 This is just recycled propaganda, and the statement serves as an excuse to launch attacks on SPLA-IO bases. Currently, the SSPDF and UPDF are shelling the IO base at Wunaliet cantonment. It's disappointing that the government of South Sudan seem to favor war over peace.
White army are not organized force capable of procuring supplies from the North. RSF is operating in S Sudan territories with permission from South Sudan government. They are just mercenaries in S Sudan civil war
The governor of #South_Sudan’s #Upper_Nile state says he had directed security forces and local authorities in Renk, Baliet, and Maban to verify the reports of the presence of RSF troops and provide a briefing within two days. https://t.co/utDGv5FmJv
