I formally wrote, hosted and syndicated a radio/podcast fishing program called, Tight Lines® with Sammy Lee which aired fifty-two weeks a year. Now I fish!
BTW, Mike says he learned his fishing talents by listening to "Tight Lines® with Sammy Lee” during his formative years! hahahahahaha, don't I wish?
Thanks Mike for a great day of fishing and fellowship…the wonderful memories we made...and more than 40 years of friendship!
Throwback Thursday: I had a great day fishing with a dear friend of mine, Mike Davis from central Mississippi, in a small west Alabama lake a few years ago.
As you can see, Mike knows how to catch 'em, as these 8-pounder’s prove!
As a matter of fact, we figured that of the dozen or so bass we caught that day on jig n pigs and Rattle-Traps, the five largest would’ve weighed over 40-pounds. Not bad for a leisurely day of fishing with one of your best friend, right?
I must've made 50 trips to West Point Lake in 1984/1985 and was never disappointed in the results. Man oh man, I sure wish I could go back to those days!
Throwback Thursday: One of my favorite photo's of all time.
The mid-80’s were a great time to fish West Point Lake in Georgia. Lots of 'big bass' and easy ways to catch'em as you can see from this photo.
After removing the jerkbait from the corner of the bass’ mouth, Danny released the fish to fight again one day.
Lots of great memories from this day as we boated over 50 bass weighing from 2-5 pounds on jerkbaits. Yes sir, “We Made Some Memories” that day!
Throwback Thursday: From early May a few years ago.
My regular fishing partner, Daniel A. Moore, and I were fishing jerkbaits and catching bass after bass after bass. When suddenly Danny yelled, “I wish you’d look at this!”
If so, do not attempt to removed the bait as it is being engulfed. You can do more damage to the fish by removing the bait from its throat than good.
Leave it alone and let it have its well earned meal!
Throwback Thursday: W-A-Y BACK!
While fishing has been my life since I was about 10 or 12, I never realized my life-long love of water until my mother discovered this photo a few years ago.
As you can see, I've always been in love with water in any shape, form or fashion. hahaha
