@SDNTV@KentuckYCat73@LauraMiers@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori 100% false. I myself am a victim, but I understand the law and don’t give in to my instinct to “satisfy my outrage”. There are many things we can do to increase the likelihood of justice in rape cases. Being loud & wrong are not on the list. U r accusatory bc it satisfies ur hate
@thefriibbles@SDNTV@KentuckYCat73@LauraMiers@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori The guy is not protected by Workers Comp law at all. You obviously do not understand the role workers comp serves in our civil system. If you are saying him not having criminal charges is being protected, that is unrelated to workers comp law. You are just loud and uninformed
@0lXYZl0@BecomingCritter I think when people talk about how to live ur life they mean in the places, situation, & reality you actually live in. Seems illogical, & like an excuse for yourself, to go “well this wouldn’t be advantageous in a situation I don’t exist in.” I’d fix that self-defeating mentality
@SDNTV@KentuckYCat73@LauraMiers@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori idk why u had to be racist about this. But if we are gonna discuss race & rape then according to the federal government white men made up a lower % of rape sentences compared to their portion of the population, while other races made up a larger %. So…. https://t.co/A5oTS44cX1
@Mortanius_67@FIPmyWHIP@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori In the Florida example, course and scope of employment are used to reference any activities they take while on the job. Like if I am traveling from one warehouse to another while on the clock, and a random hits me in their car, that claim will still be put under workers comp.
@Mortanius_67@FIPmyWHIP@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori All good, I was paraphrasing & each state has unique worlers comp laws. Id say search up your own states workers comp laws and see the language they use. I chose a random state, Florida. https://t.co/Ki7h3l61JM . Control F for “course” to see the phrase course of employment.
@FIPmyWHIP@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori It does sound crazy but that’s just cause you don’t understand/are ignorant of law & the legal term of art. “within scope of their duties” in this context means the plaintiff was on the job when the harm to her occurred, not that whatever happened was apart of her job duties.
@KentuckYCat73@LauraMiers@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori You are speaking in ignorance. This is because you don’t understand the legal term of art. “within scope of their duties” in this context means that the plaintiff was on the job when the harm to her occurred, not that whatever happened was apart of their job duties.
@starsandstripes@Rose_Lori Everyone freaking out is acting in ignorance of the law, they don’t understand the legal term of art. “Within scope of their duties” in this context means that the plaintiff was on the job when the harm to her occurred, not that whatever happened was apart of their job duties.
@JohnnyHudSF@NoodlesRaa@Uncatfishable I really encourage you to look into the actual law and how it is applied in real life. You are quite off in your understanding
@JohnnyHudSF@NoodlesRaa@Uncatfishable U said his lawyers “could have went to court” becuase he wasn’t mirandized but that is wrong. Are you not only ignorant of the law but also someone who refuses to admit when they are? It’s okay to have an incorrect understanding of something, idk why you’re clinging to it though.
@LPCLC_TX It does sound crazy but that’s just cause you don’t understand the legal term of art. “within scope of their duties” in this context means that the plaintiff was on the job when the harm to her occurred, not that whatever happened was apart of their job duties.
@JohnnyHudSF@NoodlesRaa@Uncatfishable If they aren’t formally interrogating him they don’t have to mirandize. There’s laws for this, it’s not about opinion. They make the law publicly available, I hope you go look rather than continuing to go off what you feel the law says.
@Nicki31415Nick Our society genuinely hates the young. We kill 10 of millions of children every year with no criminal convictions. Thats my best answer for why we particularly excuse women when they hate their children.
@woolfordekernel@DucDeVinny Very interesting. I just did some googling and couldn’t find a single cartoon exploding cigar that does anything close to blackface. Could you show me an example?
@bongterapia@oiiaoiiakat@taqnull This is just so uneducated. Do you think more or less people lived in poverty before capitalism? Before American hegemony? Way too many people on Twitter are scarily uneducated
