Why Mamdani will win every time.
This IS actually risky, because there *will* be lines, just like there were lines when the weed store opened, and the NY Post will run 9,000 articles about Soviet Era breadlines.
But he's doing it anyway. Because the Bronx and East Harlem need the kind of food Park Slope has, but at affordable prices.
This is what resonates with people in an era of evil vulgar opportunists: doing the right thing even if it's risky.
you have no healthcare, can't buy a house, rent is almost unaffordable, food is skyrocketing, no paid leave, no childcare. but your tax dollars will fund a foreign country with healthcare, paid leave, childcare + funding the entire lives unemployed settlers & the orthodox.

If I am paying for a streaming service there should be NO ads. Not on Disney+, Amazon, Hulu, any of it.
Ads should be reserved for free versions of these platforms. The ad companies are paying for spots to play their ads, THEY ARE PAYING. WE SHOULD NOT BE PAYING TO SEE THEIR ADS.
The Tr*mp administration is sacrificing our national forests, fresh drinking water, animals, people, & anything else they deem “inconsequential,” all so they can profit. It’s disgusting.
My mama was born in 1950. My daddy in 1940. I remember they used to say that it was a myth that all Black people supported the civil rights movement. ALOT of people thought that segregation was the best it was ever gonna be for us & that by protesting, they were "gonna make it worse for everybody."
I see alot of that today. Especially among Black people. People think that demanding better of our elected officials--for Palestine, for healthcare, for clean air and water, for human dignity--is what led to this. And if that's the case, this isn't a country. It's a prison.
The day will come when everyone will have been against all of this. And I pray I'm there to remind you motherfuckers that many of you wanted the status quo for yourselves and were willing to sacrifice whomever to remain a sheep.
From The New York Times
This has been 60 years in the making. My mother was a teenager when Black people got the right to vote. She was in her 20s when women got the right to have a bank account in their own name. She will die seeing the pendulum swing and her own daughter have less rights than she gained
