Delighted to share a new working paper with @g_musillo, Niccolo, and Kian on the ***role of LLMs on labor market signals*** from the perspectives of job-seekers and firms.

🚨 Do LLM-generated cover letters help job-seekers, and do they distort hiring decisions?
Answer: They improve overall cover letter quality but do NOT increase chances for interviews. Recruiters prefer genuine motivation and experience—areas where ChatGPT struggles.

A decade later, is the 'generation pact' achieving its goals? Only partially, PhD research by @AlbertRutten reveals. The #Generatiepact works for older workers with high incomes, but benefits are limited for the less well-off & the young. https://t.co/Gbe1ILBUWo @TilburgU_TiSEM
