realized something while digging into the Clair Obscur lore
years ago, somewhere around 2015, i've made up a "weapon" for Mars that allowed him to paint over reality (as drawing always kinda felt like magic)

Within this concept, AI would be an artificial synthetic drug, letting people with no affinity use a parody of the real thing, destroying their minds in process
