Day 5 - Friday - Karmelo Anthony Trial Report Thread From Inside the Courtroom

I am so very tired.

It took me over an hour to type up my reporting from the day before, and I just cannot write anymore tonight.

Instead, I decided to do a video thread.

I love you all and appreciate every single person who has followed along with my reporting this week.

Here is 30 minutes of my notes and observations from inside the courtroom today.

Thank you for your patience as I work through everything. It has been an emotional and exhausting week, but I remain committed to documenting what is happening and sharing it with all of you as accurately as possible.

I’m black and I, too, do not want to live around other black people. Sounds harsh but being honest. 🤷‍♀️

If they’re not trying to live into stereotypical black behavior, I have no issues but a lot of the time in the city they are, and it’s unsafe.

Quick update:

This morning, we were shown body camera footage from multiple officers who responded to the scene.

The footage showing Austin’s lifeless body on the ground was devastating.

We were also shown the knife. Blood was visible on the blade all the way up to where the handle began.

It has been an extremely emotional morning in the courtroom.

Turns out, this man who took a photo of me is pedo Dwayne. I reported on him last year when I discovered that he was able to view the footage at Frisco ISD without undergoing any form of background check.

He is a registered sex offender and child predator who lured a young boy to a hotel room and molested him. When I exposed this, and said I was going to make sure that Legislation was passed to make sure that registered sex offenders could not view footage via open records request at any public school, he threatened to sue me for discriminating against him for his identity.

My write-up is coming soon. I didn’t miss very much this morning. They played the video, and not much else happened before lunch. I had already seen the video, so I really didn’t miss anything.

After lunch, which is when I was given access to the courtroom, multiple witnesses were called, and the 911 call was played. It was very emotional, and I feel more angry than I have in a very long time.

Everything I have reported over the last year was 100% confirmed.

All I have to say is this: Anthony supporters better not come near me or say a word to me, because I am officially fatigued.

I believe all lives matter. However…

What was done to Iryna Zarutska was beyond heartbreaking. Afterwards, the savage who stabbed her said “I got that white bitch.” Also, while she was bleeding out, the people around her did nothing.

What was done to Henry Nowak was legitimate injustice. The cops were way more afraid to be seen as racist than they were to enforce the law.

Besides, wearing this shirt would piss off the right people, so I think it’s funny.

Reason I don’t wear a Black Lives Matter shirt is because no one wearing that shirt would give a rat’s ass if my black conservatarian ass died. Speaks to a larger problem than just “black lives.”

Black Americans should be deeply ashamed for racializing this case and demanding Karmelo Anthony’s release.

If a White boy had stabbed a Black boy in the heart at a school track meet, there would be nonstop marches in the streets, riots, viral outrage, and endless calls to ‘end racism.’

But when the races are reversed — a Black teen brings a knife to the event, escalates, and fatally stabs an unarmed White teen — suddenly it’s all ‘self-defense’ and excuses.

This hypocrisy has to stop. Right is right. Wrong is wrong. Justice shouldn’t come with a skin color. No more two-tiered standards based on race.”

Karmelo Anthony Trial Update: For the past year, Karmelo Anthony supporters have claimed that Frisco ISD security footage shows Karmelo being “attacked by four boys” and proves he was acting in self-defense.

That video has now been played in open court.

And many of those supporters are about to get a harsh reality check.

The footage barely shows anything. It does not show Karmelo being attacked. It does not clearly depict the events that so many people have confidently claimed it does.

For an entire year, supporters repeated a narrative based largely on descriptions provided by the family’s advocate, Tiffney Billions.

Now the jury and the public have seen the actual footage for themselves.

According to Mary Ann from the Daily Mail, the video was heavily zoomed in, making it extremely grainy. The faces of the individuals involved are not visible. At most, the footage appears to show one person pushing another person under the tent.

The video also shows that Karmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf were under the tent together for approximately four minutes before the stabbing occurred.

In short, the security footage does not provide the clear visual proof of self-defense that Karmelo supporters have been claiming existed for the past year.
